I actually had a glimmer of hope for Cosmo in that meeting. I liked that he kept saying that if he realized something was wrong he WOULD leave. Fantastic! The younger elder on the right just seemed like a newer elder. Very ignornat of many things. An elder would NEVER leak inside information. Obviously Eric was believing impostors.

When you say personal relationship with Jesus are you
saying God? Why don,t people say they have a personal
relationship with God instead of Jesus?
This is easily explained by the Bible, Jam.
John 5:23 - that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father, who sent him.
Phil 2:9 - Therefore God exalted him (Jesus) to the highest place and gave him the name (Jesus) that is above every name,
John 17:11 - I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name--the name you gave me-(Jehovah?)-so that they may be one as we are one.
2Thess 1:12 - We pray this so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Matthew 28:18 - Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
You see, it's all to be about Jesus. John 5:39-41 says that it is by coming DIRECTLY TO JESUS, that one has eternal life. Accepting a personal relationship with Jesus IS accepting a personal relationship with God. But it was Jesus DIRECTLY that we were to have this relationship. We can talk to God at any time (whether it is our Father, Jesus, or the Holy Spirit) If we honor the Son then we ARE honoring the Father.
i noticed in the "magic" thread many former jw's no longer adhere to the bible as the unerring and accurate word of god.
if you feel this way, can you please list any specific reasons/arguments as to why not.

The apologetic press explains Judas supposed contradiction this way:
Matthew 27:5 and Acts 1:18 cannot be accepted as legitimately contradicting each other if it is possible for both to be true—and it certainly is scientifically and logistically possible for both incidents to have occurred. Consider a brawl in which two men are fighting to the death. The larger man strikes the undersized man in the throat, crushing his larynx. For nearly 60 seconds, the wounded man stumbles around trying to breathe, but to no avail. He then goes limp, falls to the ground, and strikes his head on the cement, having died from asphyxia. When the police come to the scene and ask witnesses what happened, one person will likely declare, “James struck John and killed him.” Another person may say, “John suffocated,” while another might add, “Falling headfirst, John busted his skull on the ground, causing part of his brain to ooze out onto the concrete.” Are the witnesses’ statements contradictory? No. They are supplementary. Likewise, neither of the statements concerning the death of Judas is contradictory. Simply put, one does not exclude the other.
According to ancient tradition, Judas hanged himself above the Valley of Hinnom on the edge of a cliff. Eventually the rope snapped (or was cut or untied), thus causing his body to fall headfirst into the field below, as Luke described. Matthew does not deny that Judas fell and had his entrails gush out, and Luke does not deny that Judas hanged himself. In short, Matthew records the method in which Judas attempted his death. Luke reports the end result.

Paul was even worse than Jesus in terms of endorsing slavery.
Also...example? ENDORSING slavery? Or was he saying IF you are a slave you should still act like a Christian to those that are over you?
He more or less embraced it.

Sorry to post this here...it's kinda in bad taste for me to post it here, but in all honesty this guy rocks it. Read through the comments on this song. A ton of JWs were highly offended. Ahhhhh I don't miss all the offense that people would constantly take towards...well...anything.
